My name is Abbie Steele and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern with over 10 years of experience in the field of Counseling. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families and groups in all stages of life. Areas addressed may include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, effective communication, mediation, women’s issues, self-image, parenting and family wellness, life skills training, and increasing overall life satisfaction. I believe the relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important factor in obtaining a successful therapeutic outcome and improving mental health. Providing a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental environment is a key component of effective therapy. I employ a variety of methods and techniques that can be utilized based on the treatment goals, values, personality, and needs of each individual. I value and hope to empower every individual to make a positive impact in both our immediate environment and our collective world. I am a careful and confidential listener and understand that every person is a unique individual with common problems deserving of dignity, compassion and respect.
