Angeliqueca is credentialed by the National Board of Certified Counselors, holds a current license in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), serves as Executive Director of IEA – Inspire, Encourage, Achieve and teaches a counseling course at Lamar University. With over 15 years experience in the fields of criminal justice, social services and mental health, Angeliqueca has assisted IEA as well as other service-delivery agencies with designing, developing and implementing effective programming based on innovation, strengths and future potential of clients.
She has also provided therapy in a variety of settings, including Memorial Hermann Behavioral Health Center, Family Services of Southeast Texas, Ben Rogers/Lamar University/BISD "I Have a Dream" Program, IEA - Inspire, Encourage, Achieve, Camp Bright Star Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom Schools Program and Senior Connections of Southeast Texas/Visions Psychological Associates.
As a solution-focused therapist, Angeliqueca establishes professional, facilitative, therapeutic relationships with clients by offering counseling and consulting services to a diverse population of individuals and businesses. She incorporates strength-based techniques and person-centered approaches to empower clients toward recognizing inner resources and resilience that guide them toward desired outcomes. Her goal is to help clients uncover their true potential and empower them to experience a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Through a therapeutic alliance, she assists clients who are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation as well as those interested in moving their life in a new direction.
