“Everything is just so hard.” “My child is out of control.” “I’m so tired of feeling this way.” These types of statements often reflect the type of feelings Kelly’s clients have. Whether parenting a difficult child, struggling with addictions, or suffering from mood or thought disorders, Kelly has a compassionate healing approach tailored to identify problems and solutions. Kelly provides services to clients of all ages both individually and in groups such as the Teen Intervention Program (TIP). She provides therapy in a supportive and caring environment focused on helping client’s to reach their goals and overcome life obstacles.
Kelly’s TIP group offers an option for treating teens that may need more intensive care than weekly sessions alone may offer, yet do not need intensive outpatient or inpatient treatments. Examples include teens stepping down from intensive outpatient programs, recently discharged teens, teens needing additional sessions, or teens needing additional support as an adjunct to individual treatment. Additionally, teens often respond to a group treatment format better than individual counseling making this a viable stand alone treatment. This may be especially true for issues such as substance abuse, anger-management, and grief addressed weekly in the program.
Kelly is a Life Coach and pursuing her Licensed Professional Counselor credential under the supervision of Kevin Glasser, LPC-S. Her experience includes one year as a Graduate Practicum Counselor, several years as a peer counselor, and two years of volunteer crisis counseling at the Pregnancy Help Center in Katy, TX.
